The EFG Hermes MENA investor conference in London is providing a live measure of global appetite for regional equities, as executives from 125 listed companies meet more than 420 institutional investors across four days.
A concentrated test of investor demand

EFG Hermes opened its 12th Annual London Investor Conference on Monday, 21 September 2026. The event runs through 24 September at Emirates Stadium in London.

More than 420 investors from 181 institutions are attending. In total, over 830 participants are taking part across the four days.

The conference features 125 listed companies from seven MENA markets. Representatives meet investors through a dense schedule of one-on-one sessions and group discussions covering sector performance, economic conditions and regional growth priorities.

That format matters. Global allocators need consistent access to regional management teams. London delivers that access alongside deep international fund-management networks. The city remains the natural venue for bridging MENA issuers and Western capital.

What does the conference signal for capital flows?

Attendance at this scale signals broad, cross-institutional interest in MENA equities. However, attendance alone does not guarantee new allocations. Investors will weigh earnings resilience, balance-sheet discipline and management credibility before committing fresh capital.

Companies must show how regional growth converts into shareholder returns. That means clearer guidance on dividends, expansion plans and capital discipline — not only compelling macroeconomic narratives.

For institutional allocators, the one-on-one meetings help separate broad regional themes from company-specific opportunities. They also expose differences between markets, sectors and business models that aggregate data can obscure.

Meanwhile, MENA issuers gain a chance to broaden their shareholder base. Stronger engagement can support future research coverage, secondary offerings and sustained cross-border fund flows. Those outcomes take time to materialise, but the conference builds the relationships that precede them.

Participation from 181 institutions signals that interest extends well beyond a small group of specialist emerging-market funds. That breadth strengthens the case for deeper, more durable engagement with the region.

EFG Hermes as institutional bridge

EFG Hermes, the investment-banking arm of EFG Holding, organised the conference. Its role gives the event an established channel between regional issuers and global capital. Twelve consecutive annual editions have built that credibility.

The event positions EFG Hermes as the region’s primary institutional gateway — a description the firm’s deal flow and research distribution capacity continue to support.

Regional markets are competing hard for international capital. Companies that present investable strategies, backed by transparent financials and credible management, will stand out from the field.

Investors should watch follow-up disclosures, updated earnings guidance and changes in institutional ownership in the weeks after the conference. Those signals will show whether this week’s conversations develop into durable investment activity.
