Emirates NBD SMEs receive comprehensive support through new fee relief package launched by Dubai’s leading bank.

Emirates NBD has unveiled a strategic fee relief package specifically designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises navigating challenging regional market conditions. The Dubai-based banking giant’s initiative addresses mounting cash flow pressures faced by Emirates NBD SMEs through targeted fee waivers and service discounts.

The comprehensive support package demonstrates the bank’s commitment to maintaining business relationships whilst providing practical financial relief during uncertain times. Emirates NBD SMEs will benefit from immediate cost reductions across multiple banking services, enabling better cash flow management and operational flexibility.

Comprehensive Fee Relief Measures

The relief package encompasses several key areas of business banking operations. Emirates NBD has completely waived loan deferment fees, providing crucial breathing space for companies managing debt obligations. International courier charges for business card deliveries have been eliminated, reducing administrative costs for expanding businesses.

Cheque return fees linked to cash flow disruptions have been waived, acknowledging the temporary nature of current market challenges. Emirates NBD SMEs can access free cash withdrawals across all ATMs throughout the UAE and GCC region, significantly reducing transaction costs for businesses with regional operations.

Business debit card replacement fees have been completely removed, whilst letters of credit and guarantee charges now carry a 30% discount. The bank has extended its 40% discount on cash management services, previously available only as introductory pricing.

Alignment with Broader Economic Support

This initiative aligns with wider UAE economic support measures, including the Dubai Government’s recent approval of Dh1 billion in economic support initiatives. The Central Bank of the UAE’s Financial Institution Resilience Package further reinforces banking sector stability, creating a comprehensive support ecosystem for businesses.

Hamad Mohamed Zayed, Group Head of Business Banking at Emirates NBD, emphasised that the package aims to provide Emirates NBD SMEs with greater operational flexibility during current liquidity pressures. The bank maintains its commitment to customer financial stability whilst ensuring full service operations continue uninterrupted.

The combined efforts reflect ongoing attempts to sustain economic momentum across the region. Dubai’s economic diversification strategy continues prioritising small business support as a cornerstone of sustainable growth.

Emirates NBD SMEs operating across various sectors can immediately access these benefits, with the package designed to provide both immediate relief and medium-term stability. The initiative underscores the banking sector’s proactive approach to supporting business resilience during regional transformation periods.

This comprehensive support framework positions Emirates NBD SMEs to better navigate current challenges whilst maintaining growth trajectories essential for the UAE’s economic diversification objectives.
