(MENAFN)Statistics from the Ministry of Commerce revealed on Thursday, April 8, China saw a service trade shortfall of 43.28 billion yuan (about USD6.61 billion) in the first two months of 2021. It reduced by 77.2 percent from the same period last year.
According to Gao Feng, a spokesperson with the ministry, the country’s total service trade quantity hit 713.98 billion yuan in January and February, dropped by 3.6 percent year on year.
The lower shortfall was the consequence of important service export expansion, which augmented by 21.9 percent, year on year, in the reporting period. In the meantime, service imports declined by 18.6 percent from a year ago.
